wow! we actually went to the beach today. i think this was my first time in the ocean for a long long while. it sure felt wonderful, even though we both got somewhat sunburnt. we finally decided to go, thinking that if we didn't, we might end up not being able to make it at all before we move to hong kong. now THAT will be a tragedy.
i can't believe we're gonna leave all this and go to HK. are we just plain crazy? quite so, i believe. but i still think that if i didn't do this, i might regret it later on in life. i mean, if not me, then who? none of my other sisters have the luxury to do this. even though my brother is there, he has his own family to think of, and they can't just live with my mom without creating too much of a problem. both my brother and sister in law are great people, and they do a lot for mom already. without them being there, we'll be in so much more trouble and worry even more. still, we need to have a family person in the house with her.
life sure is interesting sometimes. i feel that this is sort of a test for me. god knows i'm the least appropriate person to take this on, but here i am, in the perfect position to tackle this. if i had taken a slightly different path along the way in life, i might not be able to do this at all. anxious and worried i am. patience is really not my strongest point at all, and this thing is gonna try my patience to the max.
well, i guess worst case scenerio would be for us to return to hawaii, which is what we'll do ultimately anyway. in any case, it'll be good to spend sometime with my mom, before she gets worse...
sorry to be getting all introspective. i've been reading my friend theresa's blog. she's such a good writer. she's going through a lot of life changes right now, mostly good i think. reading what's going on in her life made me think about mine as well.
