Guess what! I've been practicing my bass these past few days learning some (Ha!) classic rock tunes! Tunji's band Diving For Air has a little show coming up next week but their bass player can't make it, so I'm trying to see if I can manage to learn a few songs to sit in on the set. It's just a 30 min set, so I'm thinking maybe I'll be able to fake it and muddle through somehow... heee heee heee.... it's been almost a year since I last really played, and it's hard work getting those fingers moving again, let me tell ya!
We had a little get together with Tony this afternoon to try out some of the songs and I think it'll work ok enough. Not great, but it'll be ok. I sure miss playing, and particularly playing with Tunji, to jam out and have that "connection". Sure is a special treat.

That's it! So you see, it's a short set and if everything goes well, I should be able to manage it. Hopefully no surprises will come up at my check up this coming Tuesday.
