Relapse

Hey y'all, I'm afraid I have a bit of bad news. Went for my check up today and the blood results came back and shows that I have a relapse. It's very discouraging I know, especially since it seems like we're so close to having the transplant.

I'm back in the hospital, doctor will perform a bone marrow biopsy tomorrow just to get more accurate reading. He suggested to start the new kind of oral targeted therapy on me asap and hope to beat this one into remission without using the conventional chemotherapy. I think he said I will be taking a few pills a day for about 4 to 6 weeks initially to see. I may need to continue to take that for a couple of months and hopefully it'll be just in time for the transplant, but I ain't holding my breath. Cost on this drug will be free for the first month, but after that it sounds like it maybe kinda expensive if I don't apply for assistance.

Anyway, that's what's going on in my neck of the woods and that's all I know right now. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed, but those are the breaks. We shall see how it goes and will keep you posted.

Other than that, I've been feeling alright, just a little more easily tired than say 2 weeks ago. Hanging in there and trying to keep being positive.
