So we just had a show over the weekend that we called HK A Go Go, obviously it's a go-go theme. But maybe that's a fad that was too far distant in most people's memory, or they weren't even born yet, a lot of people didn't know what that was or what that means. We tried to encourage people to dress up in go-go costume and outfits, but in the end, guess who was the only one in a go-go outfit!? Moi! Yes, me, myself and I alone. Felt like one of those dressed for the wrong party kind feeling you know? At least I was performing, so I had THAT excuse. I just can't believe it, NOBODY! Tunji did a mild attempt at it, but not very obvious. None of my other band members tried at all! What's up with that? NOBODY! So disappointing!
Forgot to say that we'll have more visitors staying with us this coming week. Our friends, well, they're more like acquintances than friends, Adela and Kim will be coming through HK for a few days before heading up to China. Kim is a sculptor in Hawaii and they're on a mission to look for a certain granite or stone or rock of some kind for his project. As you can tell clearly, I really have no idea what they're looking for or doing other than they're going to China to look for rocks. Anyway, they'll be here from Wednesday till Saturday I think.
BT has a lot of activities scheduled for May as well. We have 2 gigs lined up, and a 2 day recording sessions the following weekend. Seems like I've been doing nothing but music related stuff lately, I'm starting to feel perhaps I really don't have a life! :P
Today being Sunday, I'm at mom's house of course. She's doing amazingly well for her age and someone w/ her condition. Sometimes it makes me wonder if she really has ALZ, or is it something else but just similar to ALZ. She understands that T & and I live in HK now and that we teach English. And that my niece has come home to HK to live after her studies in Oz and she's teaching Kindergarten. I mean, of course she has to ask everytime to start, but most times she can answer the questions on her own. So it tells me that she's still learning new information, which is NOT very ALZ at all.
