It's funny and coincidental that just the other day I read someone's comment that said something like, when was the last time you've done something you have never done before? I thought about that for awhile and said to myself, "You know, I haven't really done anything that new lately." Little did I know, my perfect opportunity to explore a new dimension was just right around the corner!
Guess what! I learned to inject myself yesterday! I know it's no big deal to most people, but after all the needles and treatments that I've received this whole year, I'm still a little scared of needles and getting a shot. I have to close my eyes every time. It was quite nerve wrecking for me because, well, I'm just a wimp basically, but also I just don't think it's natural to willingly stab yourself with a needle! So don't belittle it, it's a big step for me... but not without some cheering on by Tunji on the sideline though. But in the end, I did it. I was joking with Tunji that now I've learned how to shoot myself up, sky is the limit! I could start doing heroine! :P
Well, actually, when I think about it, I've done a lot of new things this year... not willingly mind you, but all new experiences nonetheless. Some day, I'm gonna look back and laugh about all this. But boy, that some day better come soon!
