Easy does it today

Went over to Cranberry Inn so we can smooch off their internet connection, followed by a nice walk/visit to local shops in Chatham with Kay. Met some of Kay’s friends, even had an ice cream cone. BEST ice cream cone EVER! Chatham has such lovely little shops that even Tunji was being more patient than I’ve ever seen him. Though, a couple of hours of that, even I had enough. Back to the Inn and Kay ran off to go to the grocery store. We hung out for a bit more and strolled behind the inn where there was (still?) a cranberry bog. Drove down to the take a look at the ocean and the lighthouse and took a nap at the back of the van.

Met back up at Kay and Bill’s and they took us to an art opening. Their friend Rose, one of the artists, and her husband took a cruise boat to China and HK a couple of years ago, so we had much to talk about. The opening was a great success judging by all the people who showed up! It was jam packed, spilling out into the street. Soon, we went back to Kay’s and Bill’s for some very tasty dinner with some VERY fresh cod, potatoes and cole slaw. Bill even played us a couple of songs on his guitar. Stories abound at the dinner table. We even found out that Bill used to play the accordion! Ha! Kay told us stories about some of the more difficult and odd guests at the inn, and she says she will one day write a book about it.
