Met up with Chris's parents and his grandma at an Indian restaurant. Grandma is 93 and still going strong, with all her facilities. She quietly expressed to me during lunch that she's afraid that her eye sight is going... And I thought, MY eye sight is going, and I'm not even 50 yet! Boy! She's amazing. His parents we've met before, but this was the first time meeting the grandma.
After lunch, we went and did a little shopping. First at Best Buy to get a digi cam for Tunji's mom's birthday in a few days, and some bigger pants/jeans for ourselves. :P After all the reckless eating, I now have trouble fitting into the pair of jeans that I brought with me! Well, they were pretty tight to begin with... That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it!
In the evening, Chris took us to the Riverwalk and had dinner at Boudro's. We sat by the canal, and watch our waitress made fresh guacamole right at our table. It was very yummy.
Walked along the canal a bit and visited the Alamo. This was our second time seeing the Alamo, and it still surprises me that it's right there in the middle of town and smaller than you would expect!
Doesn't this just melts your heart? Such love!!! :P
